    Helcim is a privately held, founder-led Canadian payment processor based in Calgary, Alberta, with transparent interchange-plus pricing and strong small-business tools: recurring billing, invoicing, payment links, hosted and embedded checkout, plus native Interac debit and EFT-PAD bank payments. It is one of the closest Canadian replacements for Stripe for standard web payments, subscriptions, and in-person sales — but not a drop-in replacement: no marketplace/split-payment infrastructure, no metered billing, and Helcim's own privacy policy states personal data is stored and processed in both Canada and the United States, so it is not a Canada-only data-residency solution.
