We collect
almost nothing.

No account, no sign-in, and no advertising network. We don’t build a profile of you and we have nothing to sell to anyone who’d want one.

The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. It stays on your device, it isn’t an identifier, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Fonts and images are served from this site rather than a third-party CDN, so loading a page doesn’t hand your IP address to anyone else. The one exception is the analytics described below.

This site uses Google Analytics 4. It loads a script from Google and sets cookies in your browser. Until 22 September 2026 this page said the site used no third-party analytics; that changed, and saying so here is the point of the promise not to broaden things quietly.

What we look at is which links get clicked — which Canadian companies people visit, what they search the directory for, which categories they filter to, and which pages they read. That tells us whether the directory is sending anyone to the companies in it, which is the only thing it exists to do. We record the link, the page it was on, and the section of the page. We do not record anything you type other than directory search terms, and there is nothing here to type your name into.

Advertising features are switched off: IP addresses are anonymised, Google Signals is disabled, and ad personalisation is disabled. Your visit is not used to build an advertising profile or to retarget you elsewhere. Google still receives the data as a processor and is subject to its own terms.

To opt out: any content blocker or tracker-blocking browser stops it, as does Google’s own opt-out add-on. Nothing on this site breaks when analytics is blocked, and we don’t detect or nag about it.

There is no cookie consent banner yet. Analytics cookies are set on arrival. Québec’s Law 25 and PIPEDA guidance both point toward asking first, so this needs either a consent banner or a switch to a cookieless analytics setup. We’d rather state the gap than pretend it isn’t one.

Like any website, requests reach a server that keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, page requested, user agent. They exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They aren’t used to build profiles, and they aren’t sold or shared for marketing.

If you submit the listing form, you’re sending us business contact details — company name, website, headquarters, a contact name and email, and what your company offers. We use them to assess the listing and to get back to you, and nothing else. No marketing list, no resale.

The form is not connected yet. It validates in your browser and shows a confirmation, but nothing is transmitted or stored anywhere. We’d rather say so plainly than let you assume a submission arrived. This notice comes down when it’s wired up.

Directory profiles describe businesses, not individuals — company names, what they sell, where they operate. Where a profile names a person, it is in a business capacity and at that company’s request.

If you’re at a listed company and want the profile corrected or removed, tell us and we’ll do it. We don’t ask for a reason.

Canadian privacy law gives you the right to ask what personal information an organization holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Ask us and we’ll answer — for most visitors the honest answer is that we hold nothing beyond server logs.

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it. We won’t quietly broaden what we collect.

This page describes what the site actually does today, written plainly rather than defensively. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and it should be before the site handles real submissions.
